I just can't believe how much pleasure that little creature has given those two "kids", I was on the phone to Andrew the other evening and he was chatting to me , then "oooh, hang on mum, Jack's just climbing up the curtains and I don't want him to fall!!!!!".................bless his little heart (the hamster, I mean!!!) I've told Andrew about all your messages, he's SO thrilled, thank you all so much! work starts at 2pm on Monday, hope he's up in time! Lxx ps (don't read if you don't like dogs!!!!) some wonderful news about my little greyhound. Millie's very very timid after MUCH cruelty before I had her.......................and this week, she has decided that if she actually COMES to me when I call her, there's a treat waiting for her,and I won't hit her...................... how great is that? Its ONLY taken three and a half years to get this far and I am SO thrilled, every little step with this wonderful girl is such an achievement for us both, she's been SUCH hard work....but its paying off!!!!!! Hi Lylie,
Jack has certainly found a good home there! Good luck to Andrew for Monday. What an achievement with Millie, well done! Poor thing, she must have been very badly , it's so good that she trusts you now.
Love, Doreen xx

Morning Lylie
You don t have to tell me how good that makes you feel ! so pleased for you and Millie. I took on two two little pugs ( sadly both no longer with me, died quite young at 6 yrs ). They were both ill treated and the pleasure I found when they started being happy normal little souls can only be understood by others like you who love animals dearly. The joy they bring cannot be counted, sometimes difficult for some to understand, so pleased Jack is such a big part of the family.
Wishing your son Andrew all the best for tomorrow.
Julia xx

I took Andrew to his new job today................having dropped by with some stuff for them (and Jack!!) we discovered that the puncture he'd mended last night had unstuck, so he'd've been late for work!!! I haven't seen him so nervous for ages, and I wonder if he'd have actually GOT there on his bike anyway, he was so wobbly!! Anyway, I stopped off to get a new inner tube, a set of bike lights, and some new brakepad thingies (see, I KNOW all the proper terms!!) at Halfords (£32!!!!) , dropped them back at his flat..........................and then home for more GOO, now diluted with YAK's milk I think, still hurts but less, though veins are VERY swollen and sore, just hope its worth it!!! Thanks for all your kind thoughts for Andrew, he's going to call when he gets in around 10.30pm and let me know how he got on. Mother's instinct doesn't leave us, does it? I hope that his day went well, and that your veins didn't complain too much!

Hi Lylie, I hope Andrew`s day went well - what a good job you went to pick him up. I`m well impressed with your knowledge of cycle parts - take a Gold Star from me!! More good luck for the GOO, whatever it`s diluted with!! Take care, Kathleen x

Helen has to return to hospital tomorrow for repeat tests, they were done in April and have to be repeated after 4 months; tomorrow's results are then compared with April's and that will enable them to see how fast her illness is progressing and how long she still has. THAT appt is at end of September. Lxx Always be aware that what you do might hurt others........and if it could, do nothing without careful consideration of the consequences

What a to-do!!! Poor Helen has had her tests.........really painful, nerve conduction top to toe first, and then more fine needles jabbed into all muscles to "listen " to the vibrations and work out what is going on, she was dreading these as the one under her chin into her tongue is excrutiating....and having had it done before she was NOt looking forward to it. And I have a new line in....................again........................a new one as the venflon finally failed (again!!), its very uncomfortably placed, but all they could find!! AND I had all my fingers injected today, AND a BIG depo to keep me going....................so H and me feel a bit like sieves,!!! Puppy Barney is doing fine on more rest and painkillers/anti-inflams, trying to avoid more surgery later on by being kinder to his rebuilt elbow Millie Greyhound is very sore from her accident , looks very fetching in her bandage (pink, right round her chest and foreleg) and also on anti-inflams and antibiotics. .................and for those that remember my wonderful MH, he's doing VERY well, though a bit confused about being in a houseful of cripples!!!! Life goes on, love to all, Lyliexx Always be aware that what you do might hurt others........and if it could, do nothing without careful consideration of the consequences

Am thinking of you all Lylie, including Barney and Millie poor MH must be bewildered. I hope the depo kicks in quickly to give you some relief. When will Helen know the outcome of her tests?

Evening Lylie
Hope Helen is comfortable after all the tests she has had to go through today, and you are feeling the benefit of the depo jab.

Oooh, I`m not surprised you and Helen feel like sieves. You poor souls - hope you get some better days and nights soon. Well done the brave animals - must follow the example given by the brave humans. Take care all, Kathleen x

Thinking of you all Lylie, what a shame the canula had to be resited into another awkward place. Poor Helen, when will she get the results? Glad Millie and Barney are coping well, MH must be thinking he's the only sane one in the house!
Lots of love, Doreen xx

Dear Lylie,
Please reconsider and keep on posting. You would be so missed on here with all the MH stories and the trials and tribulations of the doggie invalids. As well as that, we all want to know the outcome of Helen's tests and just how she is getting on. Apart from anything else my darling friend, the struggle that you are enduring is much too important and difficult not to share with the lovely people on this forum.
I will mail you. Still having problems with virgin services and we are 'off' most days for hours.
Sending you lots of love and good wishes,
Eleanor x
